MusioMo is free to use and free of accounts. This page explains the small amount of data that gets collected when you visit, and what happens to it.
Short version: we do not ask you to register, we do not collect your name or email, and we do not sell anything about you to anyone. Analytics is the only tracking on the site.
MusioMo has no user accounts, no registration, and no login. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number, or payment details, because there is nothing on the site that requires them.
The only information collected automatically is standard analytics data described in the next section.
We use Google Analytics to understand which lessons and tools people actually use, so we know what to build next. Google Analytics places cookies on your device and records anonymous usage information, including:
This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you personally. You can read Google's own explanation at policies.google.com/privacy, or opt out entirely using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Some parts of the site save small preferences directly in your browser using local storage. Your light or dark theme choice is the main one, and interactive tools may remember settings such as tempo or key so they are still there when you come back.
This information stays on your own device. It is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Tools that listen to your playing, such as the Tuner, ask your browser for permission to use the microphone. Audio is processed live inside your browser to detect pitch. Nothing is recorded, stored, or uploaded to a server, and permission can be revoked at any time in your browser settings.
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers when a page opens. Beyond that and Google Analytics, MusioMo does not embed advertising networks, social media trackers, or third party widgets.
Pages may link out to other websites. Once you follow such a link, that site's own privacy policy applies, not this one.
MusioMo is designed to be useful for students of any age and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Since no accounts exist and no personal details are requested, there is nothing for a child to submit.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, or browse in a private window. None of these will stop the lessons or tools from working, since everything on MusioMo runs without knowing who you are.
If the way MusioMo handles data changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change with it. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
Questions about privacy on MusioMo can be sent through the contact details listed on the site. We are happy to clarify anything on this page.
